Six folks indicted in Amazon Market bribery scheme to assist third-party sellers

Six folks have been indicted by a grand jury in Washington state on expenses they bribed Amazon staff to control third-party vendor listings on the e-commerce web site, together with listings for faulty or harmful merchandise, authorities said.

Beginning in 2017, the folks, together with two former Amazon staff, paid greater than $100,000 to have listings of merchandise and accounts that Amazon had blocked or suspended from its Market, which permits third-party sellers to advertise and promote their merchandise, the Division of Justice stated.
