New Jersey prosecutor dismissing cyber-harassment case over tweeting cop’s picture

New Jersey’s Essex County Prosecutor’s Workplace is shifting to dismiss the harassment expenses towards 5 individuals who tweeted or retweeted a police officer’s picture. Asbury Park Press reported the news on Friday afternoon, quoting spokesperson Katherine Carter saying that “after reviewing the circumstances, we concluded there was inadequate proof to maintain our burden of proof.”

The Nutley Police Division filed a criminal complaint in July against protester Kevin Alfaro, who tweeted {a photograph} of Detective Peter Sandomenico throughout a Nutley For Black Lives demonstration in June. Alfaro’s tweet requested “if anybody is aware of who this bitch is throw his information underneath this tweet,” one thing Sandomenico mentioned induced him to worry for the protection of his household….
